Her Story:
This bicycle is really great and with a size not easy to find. Overall it’s still in very good conditions. Originally it was built as a normal road bike 26’ rim wheels suitable for tubular (tubeless) tyres, but because it’s very difficult to find those 26’ tubular size, I decided to assemble it with wheels (rim 599) that were used for so called “Condorino” models bicycles since it’s easier to find tyres and tubes. A beautiful little bike ready to ride in any kind of terrain. You may wish to change either the wheels with a smaller rim width, and/or to change the handlebar with a Condorino type.
LEGNANO is an Italian bicycle brand with a rich history, particularly in racing. Founded in 1902 by Emilio Bozzi in Legnano town, near Milan. Legnano bicycles gained prominence in the 1920s and 30s, with Alfredo Binda winning the Giro d’Italia five times on a Legnano. Gino Bartali’s victories (great duels with Fausto Coppi, which was riding a Bianchi bicycle), including his first Giro d’Italia win in 1936 and the 1948 Tour de France, further cemented the brand’s reputation.
